Does anyone have any information on these two families, their relatives and their descendants in Bosanska Krupa? Both surnames, Stor and Supancic, are Slovenian. My paternal great-grandfather Ludvig Supancic (1882-1948 or 1968), was from Slovenia, but made his living in Bosanska Krupa. I'm not sure when he moved there, but was already settled there around 1917 and obviously quite well-off. He was, as far as I know, a blacksmith. He married Franciska Istvanek, (1889-1981), and had 10 children. I know that his sister, Anka Supancic and most probably his father, lived in Krupa as well. Both Ludvig and Franciska died in Krupa and were buried there. Ludvig's daughter Alojzija Supancic married Anton Štor in 1929 in Bosanska Krupa. Anton Štor was born in 1901 in Lipa, Teharje, Slovenia to Juraj and Marija Supancic and died in Zagreb in 1969. Anton also moved from Slovenia to Bosanska Krupa. He was a butcher by trade there, but was also known as a bit of a gambler. Anton and Alojzija had 10 children, the first four born in Bosanski Petrovac. The family later moved to Zagreb, where my father and the rest of his siblings were born. Alojzija's sister Marija Mimica Supancic maried Ivica Marusic and had a daughter, Ruza. They lived in Bosanska Krupa. Ivica died in 1966 and Mimica escaped from Krupa during the war in 1990's, unfortunately leaving the beginnings of a family tree and family documents and photos to burn there along with her other possessions. She died recently in Zagreb, but I think was buried in Krupa. If any of these names rings a bell or you have any kind of info on relatives of Anton also living in Krupa at the time or descendants of Ludvig's sister Anka (or any of his other siblings), please let me know. Thank you. Andreja, Zagreb Notify Administrator about this message?
