Selma,

Nuhovic is a common Bosniak last name, derived from the name Nuho (or Noah, Nuh), and it's present in many regions of Bosnia.

Just to get a list of the Nuhovics in Bosnia, you can go to: http://www.bhtelecom.ba/imenik.html, select Region from the drow-down menu, and type "Nuhović" in the "Prezime - Last Name" field.

Interestingly enough, I found just ONE Nuhovic in Bosnia in the phone directory:
Nuhović Ismet
(037) 511-495
INDIRE PJANIĆ 6
Cazin - WESTERN BOSNIA

It's interesting that some Bosniak families immigrated to Palestine in the 19th century. Is it possible to get more information on them? I would potentially like to write an article on it.

Let me know if you are open for exchange on this topics.

Regards,

F. Bogucanin
USA (originally from Sarajevo)
