Staffan TEODORVIC is not a Greek name! Perhaps he married a Greek woman but his surname belies Slavic roots. To this day there are many residents of Turkey whose ancestors moved to Turkey around the 1700s (and 1800s in Serbia). They left with the Ottoman Turks who had occupied Croatia for nearly 200 years and Serbia for an even longer time. I have done no research in Bosnia and of course being a "NATO protectorate" it is not in very good shape. Here is a link to the Bosnia National Archives http://www.fbihvlada.gov.ba/engleski/ustanove/arhiva.htm And seeing how he was Orthodox (aka Greek Orthodox) he would have considered himself a Serb, so here is a link to a Serbian Genealogy organization based in Serbia http://www.rodoslovlje.com Robert Notify Administrator about this message?
