There are 246 records at Ellis Island for VIDOVIC.

Root of surname is perhaps vid = vision, sight, eyesight the IC ending is typical of many surnames in that the region and means - the son of. Vid or Vidos is sometimes found as given name, thus VIDOVIC is perhaps in the patronymic category of surnames

The LDS (Mormon) Church as microfilm records available which you can order and rent for a period of time. They can be ordered at a local Family History Center (FHC) near you. Go to Family Search link for FHC locations. Here is info they have:

The Province of Burgenland, Austria, was formed from parts of the Hungarian counties (Megye) of Vas, Sopron and Moson following WWI. Croatia on line phone books.
