Joe Ernest Boshers


DECATUR, Ala. -- Joe Ernest Boshers, 82, of Decatur, Ala., died Sunday, June 26, 2005, at his residence.
Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in the chapel at Roselawn Funeral Home with the Rev. Hal Daigre officiating. Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Thursday. Burial will be in Burningtree Mausoleum.
The Mt. Pleasant native was the son of the late Myrtle (Finity) and Ernest Lee Boshers. He was a steam-fitter and lifelong Methodist. He was a member of Rising Sun Masonic Lodge #29, 32 Degree Mason and member of Steam-fitters Local 372 Tuscaloosa.

Survivors include his wife, Florine Boshers of Decatur, Ala.; daughters, Joann Parrish of Jasper, Ala., Cathy Scullin and husband Bob of Beverly Hills, Calif., Vicki Hopper and husband Tim of Marietta, Ga.; son, Ernie Boshers and wife Odete of Sewannee, Ga.; two step-daughters, Sheila Harmon and husband Lynn and Karen Justice and husband Dean, all of Decatur, Ala.; step-son, Danny Russell of Decatur, Ala.; sisters, Melba Boshers of Mt. Pleasant, Mildred Burgett of Mobile, Ala., Gracie Stutts and Betty Sims, both of Florence, Ala., Dorothy Thomas of St. Charles, Mo.; brothers, Horace Boshers and Sammy Boshers, both of Mt. Pleasant and Carl Boshers of Columbia; 16 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and two great-greatgrandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alacare Hospice of Alabama or Wheeler Basin Library.
