Dear Coleen:
How exciting to read your message.I remember Uncle Victor and Aunt Dorothy.I even remember Aunt Bessie, she was a sweet, quiet woman. My older sisters will know more so I'll give them a call tomorrow, it's 1:00a.m. in MI now.Uncle Victor was short and always smoked a big cigar.Aunt Dorothy was taller and Bessie was a tiny woman who painted a beautiful picture that hung in my Grandmothers house until she died.An older sister has it now.
My Great grandfather was William Borton, grandmother was Ruth Borton (Koteras) born in Turner, MI and grew up in Flint, MI.Somewhere along the line, ended up in Alpena, MI, where William and Ruth are buried.I remember we used to go down to Flint and stay with Uncle Victor and Aunt Dorothy when I was young. I think Bessy lived with Uncle Victor and Aunt Dorothy - I could be wrong though.
My Gr. Grandpa Borton was Victors brother.I also remember Grandpa Borton with all the brown medicine bottles.
Hey, where is there going to be a Borton reunion? The last time I went to one I was only around 9 yrs old, with my grandmother (Ruth) Mother and sister and it was in Vesteberg, MI.
