Victor Borton b. Sept. 1888 is my g-great grandfather. He fell in love with my g-great grandmother Floy Gorsuch (from a very prominent family); both families move from the same town in OH to the same place in MI. Floy gets pregnant, I have orginal postcards written and postmarked. For some reason they do not marry. Instead a Woodard marries Floy one month before her child is born (my grandmother, who is told as she is growing up the he (Woodard) is not her father). Floy has three sons by Woodard and later seperates about 10 years later.
Victor's family moves from Montcalm county in MI to another county 100 miles away, right before Floy marries Woodard. Yet Victor's parents are bought back to Montcalm county for burial. Victor finally marries Dorthea and they never have children. Victor and Dorthea visit Floy often and sees his daughter grow up (she is told that he is her real father). The last time he and Dorthea visits is when I was a small girl: he visited often to see his granddaughter and g-grandchildren. My mother said that talk like this was kept hush-hush. She was never allowed to ask her questions. Who was trying to keep their family looking clean???
Victor died May 28, 1960 Gencie Co., Flint MI; buried Turner, MI. I don't know where Dorthea was buried at.
Victor had an older sister Bessie M. I don't know anything about her but maybe someone does.
