Hello cousin, my name is Thomas Yingling and I am a desendant of George Bortner. I live near where he settled in York Co., PA. I have a fairly comprehensive history of George in my database. However, it is not finished yet. I would be happy to share this with you if you, if you can recieve large files over the internet. My rceords have been copied from a book published in 1948 on the George Bortner family by Charles Glatfelter. Another family tree he published in 1947 on the Krebs family has a lot of similar info on the Bortners. The families are very close knit. What I have posted on the Family Tree website is not a complete listing. I'm still working on it. Would be glad to hear from you.
