I, descend from Jacob Bortner/Bordner, son of Balthaser and Maria Elizabetha Bortner, who were from Bayern, Platz, Oberhochstadt,
Germany and immigrated to Pennsylvania, on the ship, "Adventure", in 1832. They lived near Host, PA. There is a good book on this family. I am away from home, but I think, the book is by Howard Bordner, and is titled, "The Bortner's in America and Their Bordner and Burtner Descendants". It is available through, Burtner House Restorations", some where in PA.
