I'm also researching Borthwick/Borthick in America. I don't have a Thomas Borthwick though. I'm researching John Borthwick b. abt. 1751 in Scotland. His children were Jane, Lucretia, Mary, Samuel, John, William, and James. They are mainly in the Missouri and Kentucky area. If I see anything I will let you know though. I do know alot of them originated in New York.
