Happy New Year and welcome to the Borthwick family! You will be pleased to know that you have a castle and a tartan :)

To the best of my knowledge, the Borthwicks came into the UK (or England as the UK didn't exist back then) around 11/12 century, and also have a connection to Roslin Church of Dan Brown / da Vinci Code fame.
Members of my family emigrated to Detroit circa 1923, and I've tried to make contact with them.
