Hi Gordon. Just saw your posting from earlier this year. James was born 2/15/1734-5, and his parents, as shown in the Borthwick family book were James and Jean Little. They were married 4/7/1719 in Westerkirk. Nothing more on her family, but possibly his father was Alexander who married Margaret in 1686.
This is the line that i have worked on for years, as he was my ggggrandfather. Please email me if you have infor we can share. Thanks.
