Dianne,
I have an obituary on my great,great grandfather William who died in 1933 in
Kinderhook, ILL. The article says that his father James was born in Northumberland in 1754(lived to be 87) & landed in Halifax, N.S. in 1815. Article says William, born 3/7/1832, was the youngest of 3 dau. & 2 sons & came to U.S. via Maine in 1853. William had 6 dau.(1 named Isabelle & 2 sons Wm. & James. Sounds very close to your info.
