The Borsts in Chautauqua Co NY come from two lines.
Christopher Borst, born Mar 1849 in Germany immigrated in 1881 (1910 census). He married Marie Saubert c1879 (married 21 years per 1900 census)(her maiden name on marriage records of daughters). He settled in the town of Sheridan. 1900 census indicates they had eight children as follows:

1 ???? (probably dau married by 1900)
2 Minnie Oct 1884
3 Dau 29 Mar 1886 (birth record)
4 Grace Apr 1887
5 Harry J 17 Jul 1888 (SSA Death File)
6 Effie Nov 1889
7 Louis J Nov 1893
8 Harriett Mar 1896

Effie married George C Dutton 30 Nov 1908
Grace married Mclennan Barris 4 Apr 1908
Harry J married ???? CROW???? 11 Aug 1912
Lewis J married ???? 18 Jun 1919

First two from county marriage records.
Second two from state marriage index.

Harry J had dau Alma G born 31 Oct 1913
county birth record.

By 1920 a number of members of the line of 1710 Palatine immigrant Jacob H Borst had moved to Jamestown:

Census showed:
A7083 Delbert 54
A7081 Henry J 28
Lawrence 20 (son of Delbert)
Leon 32 (son of Delbert)
Norman L 22 (son of Delbert)

There were also families in the county that spelled the name Boerst.
