I was intrigued by the reference to Grover Born's father having several meat packing places in Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa, etc. Did he by chance have one in Nebraska City, Otoe County, NB around the turn of the century? I ask as I am looking for the descendants of one Friedrich Born(e), from Switzerland, who worked in a meat packing company there. Your Born family may have come from Switzerland as well. I was told my ancestors were German. It turns out they all spoke German, but were from the German speaking part of Switzerland.
