thank you on info on David Standlee's sister Elizabeth marrying Isaac Boren. These two families married back and forth a great deal. But I had seen some differences in the father - William Boren - and appears that can't be accurate as Elizabeth was born 1798 and Isaac Boren was born 1796. Yet William Boren is listed on this mesage to me as being about 1852 wth death 1817. Can I assume it is actually 1752 for birth? Yes, Katherine Boren did marry David Standlee (that is my husband's family). I figure Isaac was her brother as well. I had seen something as the unknown McIntosh being a Mary McINtosh.

do you have anything on William Boren's family? Things I had also heard were that the Standlee's were strong Union people, but one brother or cousin, Levi fought with confederates as his wife applied for a Confederacy pension fromt he state of Arkansas. I thought that was ineresting given what I was told about their being staunch Union supporters. One of the Standlees was injured too by geting Union supporters out of Arkansas. carolyn.wilkerson@yahoo.com
