Fred, Thanks for the answer. I think we can safely go with your birthdate for Nancy, of 1770. According to my records, William was born 19 Nov 1787, which would make her 17 and when Sarah Ledbetter was born 18 Mar 1813 she would have been 48 which was pushing it at that. That would not be the first time a census record was incorrect. I have found Names, birthdates, you name it, wrong. A second and third opinion is good if you can find it. Do you know if Nancy left a will? If you will email me your mailing address I'll be glad to send you the information on Charles Morgan Boren. You know his father was Washington Boren who married Mary Olivia McCarley. She was his only wife and Charles Morgan was their only child. Washington, Mary Olivia, and Charles Morgan Boren are listed in the 1880 census for Callahan County, Texas. He is listed as Cattle raiser. He was killed in a saloon sometime in the 1880's there. The information on this family that is printed in Mrs. Meeks book is incorrect. There was another Washington Boren who lived in Collin Co. Texas at the same time Our Washington did, they are two separate individuals . Please email me at herbj@itlnet.net. Bettye Carnahan.
