John Borders 176X NC-183X GA & Mary Champion 177X-184X GA are the parents of John Borders 1802 NC who married Catherine Blalock 1802 NC and had Rufus Blalock 1838 GA. The Borders Y-DNA-12 Test Group, supported by Family Tree DNA Inc of Houston TX, has identified the male Y-chromosome of this family tree with two living male descendants and with two other male descendants, whose Y-chromosomes have mutated slightly, but are close enough to indicate the relationship. A brother of John Borders 1802 NC was Lewis Borders 1803 NC, and his grandson John Elbert Borders 1864 GA named two sons Luther Harris Borders 1890 GA and Homer Bell Borders 1893 GA, who had a son named Homer Bell Jr 1919 GA and a grandson Homer Parker Borders 1942 GA.
