I can understand your frustration, but this does not justify your disputing the Bader/Borders connection.

As I understand it, Wm. S. has church records from Germany in the 1700's documenting the Bader family's activities. He has ship records from 1751 listing the Bader family members' passage from Germany to Philadelphia and can document the year that each of the brothers started using Borders instead of Bader. This seems pretty authoratative compared to someone stating on an e-mail list that Borders does not translate to Bader in German.

Finally, I would strongly disagree that Wm S. has "ruined" the list. As far as I can tell, he is about the only one who provides information. Everyone else (like me) are just asking questions.
