There are 130 persons named Borders in the 1870 GA census. Forty-eight of them are black, and all of them were born in GA. Eleven of them in Polk Co GA are listed as mulattos. Other GA counties containing blacks are Banks, Harris, Jackson, Madison. and White. The individuals listed in Jackson Co GA are Benjamin born 1870, Bill 1829, Charity 1849, Christopher 1851, Cynthia 1862, Dallas (m)1867, Ephram 1794, Georgie (f)1861, Harriett 1834, Hester 1856,Issabella 1854, James 1824, Jeff Davis 1865, Levi 1862, Mar;y 1804, Mary 1866, Minerva 1860, Sally 1849, Walter 1844, and Washington 1864.
