Seeking information on the family of M. Jane Elizabeth BORDERS who m. James DIFFLEY / DIFFLY. In 1880, they are next door to the Thomas E. BORDERS family, p. 430A of Goodmans Dist, Harris Co, GA. Is Jane sister to Thomas? He is son of Lewis & Catherine (McGINTY) BORDERS (and ergo double first cousin to my gg-gm, Martha Catherine (BORDERS ADERHOLD) GLADNEY). Lewis & Catherine's family appears on p. 148 of Col. BORDERS' book, and though DIFLEY is indexed in section "J", I don't find him mentioned as husband of their daughter Jane. James DIFFLY is said to be son of Peter Frank DIFFLY (ca. 1818 Ireland-bef. 1880) and wife Louisa Jane WADE (1828 GA-1903 Montgomery Co, AL), who m. 1846 in Muscogee Co, GA.
