These are the records you need to identify the father of Peter Borders 1756 PA:
1. NC Land Grant Nr 2313 for 400 acres in Rowan Co NC for John Bodders, dated 12 Feb 1786. Chain bearers during the survey were Peter Bodder & Jacob Bodder.
2. 1790 census of Rowan Co NC for John Borders family.
3. Peter Borders Pension Application, dated 8 Jul 1833 Allen Co KY, with Confirming Statement by Samuel Sears.
4. Christopher Borders Pension Application, dated 12 May 1834 Darke Co OH.

A Borders Y-DNA-12 Test Group is in the process of PROVING OR DISPROVING the sons of John Bodders/Borders of Bucks Co PA & Rowan Co NC. If the Y-chromosomes of living male descendants of the probable sons match that of a living
male descendant of Peter Borders, then we KNOW they are sons of John Bodders/Borders c173X. In other lines of Borders the Test Group has identified the German surname Bader/Baeder/Baader as the origin of the American Border/Borders families.
