Peter's father is identified in three places: 1. 12 Feb 1786 NC Land Grant #2313 for 400 acres in Rowan County to John Bodders. 2. 1790 census Rowan Co NC, the family of John Borders. 3. 8 Jul 1833 Allen Co KY, Peter's application for a pension for his Rev War service---confirming statement by Samuel Sears names Peter's father as John S___ Borders. The middle name is unreadable, but the first letter looks like an "S" to me.
