Hi cousins!
I descend from John Borders through his son Hezekiah. I've been on the Prussia BBS and looking through the Prussia Home Page. They have access to information about Hessian soldiers many of whom were considered as deserters. I'm continuing to pursue as well as try to find out what if John changed his name. There has been an earlier posting indicating that he may have changed it from BADER. Prussia Page indicates that many emmigrants changed also first names and John was likely Johannes. They want $ to do research. I'll keep trying for free information as long as possible!
