Seeking info on origins/parentage of Benjamin BORDERS b. 1806 in NC, d. 1860 in Carroll Co, GA, m. 1832 in Pike Co, GA to Martha McGINTY, b. 1810 GA (dau. of John McGINTY--Martha's sister Catherine married Benjamin's brother Lewis). Benjamin is said to be the son of John BORDERS, b. 1760's, prob. NC, but his exact origins in that state are not known (family seems to appear 1820 Jones Co, GA; 1830 Pike Co, GA; 1840 Chambers Co, AL; and may be connected with the John in 1790 Rowan Co, NC and/or 1800 Lincoln Co, GA.
