BORDERS, ANNA -1844-Pike Co., IN
Posted by: MJ Date: December 09, 1999 at 12:46:54

Trying to track the parents and line of Anna Borders married to George W. Catt ,1844,
Pike Co., Indiana....waiting for info on marriage license...There is a William Border (s) on the 1820 Pike Census....several others later..I believe but have no proof yet that the Borders may well have migrated from Germany>PA>VA with 3 of my other lines
from Germany.....Katz became Catt, Mohr
became Moore, and Frederick....Katz/Catt
landed in Phil., Pa in 1737 on "Snow Fox", etc. This may only be a hunch....Note:
when the families originally migrated to IN
the "Northwest Territory", the county was KNOX which encompassed a huge area going into
Illinois....
