The annual meeting of the descendants of Hezekiah Sellards and Jenny Wiley will be held in Prestonsburg, Floyd County, Kentucky on October 8, 9, & 10, 1999, during the Jenny Wiley Festival.
There will be an informal gathering friday evening at the Floyd County Library where we exchange family info. We rent a copier for the weekend and keep it hot!
The business meeting and more information swapping takes place on saturday at the library. Last year, we left the library early and traveled down to the Jenny Wiley cave, where she had escaped from the indians and made her way up through "Jennie's Creek" to the Big Sandy where she rescued.
Sandwiches, dessert, drinks are provided both friday and saturday. On sunday afternoon, 1:00, we meet at the River Development Club building, adjacent to the cemetery (Johnson County), where the River Development Club members serve a homecooked meal prior to the Wreath Laying Ceremony at Jenny's grave.
The cost of that meal is $6.00 per person.
