Terry, my source (THE BORDERS FAMILIES, by Col. William S. BORDERS (ret.) of Florida (pub. in Cullman, AL, 1989) shows the following: Catherine BORDERS, b. ____ KY, m. John W. DURHAM, as the daughter of Henry BORDERS, b. 1802 VA (ref. 1849 Barrien Co, KY). She does not appear among Henry's children listed on p. 202--apparently an omission. Henry died in the 1880's; he m. Rebecca MANICA, b. 1804 in MD. They had three other children: Ellen BORDERS, b. 1835 KY, m. in Hardin KY to Luther HIBBS; John Alexander BORDERS, b. 1836 KY, d. 1898 Larue KY, m. 1855 in Hardin KY to Arabella BOGARD, b. 1835 KY, d. 1918 Larue KY (dau. of Eli & Lucinda (AUSTON) BOGARD); and William H. BORDERS, b. 1843 KY, d. 1929 Hopkins KY, m. Martha Lee LEACH, b. 1846 KY. [Data follows on lines of John Alexander and William H.] Henry (1802 VA) is a son of Matthias BORDERS (1771 PA - 1830's), who m. Nelly AVERY (1780's-1830's)--six other children are listed for this couple. Matthias (1771 PA) is identified as the son of George BORDERS, b. 1733 in Germany, (ref. 1771 Lancaster Co, PA), who m. Salome BALTENSPERGER. George is the son of Mathaeus BADER (ref. 1752 Philadelphia, PA). I own this book and would be glad to make photocopies of these pages to mail you, or you probably could still obtain a copy yourself from Col. BORDERS.
