i can provide you with some names mentioned in the "leonce diaries" that i possess that recorded names after 1876. there is no mention of slaves ,however. celanie was leandre's wife and my great-grandmother. she lived until 1902. please keep in mind that the diaries were begun approximately 12 years after the civil war. i know, factually,
of the names of african-americans that worked for celanie or leonce( my grand father). leandre died in 1866.
