Linda,
I have a copy of some of the research of Catherine Booram Ramsey (1903-1999) where she mentions that John P. Henry Jackson Shuler's father was Daniel Shuler who died when "Jack" was 7 and he was then raised by his sister Polly Chapel. She also mentions that Jack was b. in Howard Co. MO.
One thing she sites as a reference for some of the information on Mary Almira is the book "Tales That Are Told" by a Harry Witten.
I would be happy to scan and send the pages that Catherine references your Shulers if you wish.
