Glad to hear from you. As I have the family history, Samuel Boots was the 4th child of Eli Boots (b.1815 d.1876)and Martha Lackey (b.1816 d.1866). Samuel had 3 wives. First Martha Bowers (b. 1848) I don't know what happened to Martha. They had 10 children. their last child Willard Samuel (b.1878) was the half brother most talked about by my grandfather and father. Maybe because they never knew what happened to him. Then Samuels 2nd wife was Mary Catherine Dunbar (b.1855 d. 1883) My father and aunt disagree on what was the reason behind the death of Mary Catherine. Your spelling of Samuel's third wife differs a little from mine but yours is probably correct. Samuel's 3rd wife I have listed as Tudilla Ellen Forthner (b.1853) I have Wallace (b.1891) listed as the only child. I know in my grandmothers things I have a clipping of an aniversary celebration for Wallace and his wife. My Grandfather married Marguerite Elizabeth Logan. There children include Samuel Robert (b. 1906 d. 1976), Twins Vera and Vina(b.1909)Both are deceased but I don't have the information here at work. Next was Mary Catherine (b.1912 d.1913), Roy Garnett (b.1914 still living), Marguerite Ethel (b. 1915 still living), and finally Alice (b.1917 d.1961). My Aunt Ethel lives close by. My father lives across the state. I would love to talk to your mother about her memories of my grandfather.
