Jann, I believe the Joseph Boots you are searching is the son of Henry Boots Sr. b. 24 Dec. 1801, in England and Mary Ann Deering b. 1803 also in England. They were married 5 Nov. 1820 in Ticehurst, East Sussex, England. Henry d. 10 Dec. 1851 in Scyamore, Ill and Mary Ann d. 20 Mar. 1853. They emigrated to New York about 1823 to Chenango Co,In 1843 they moved to Sycamore, Ill .Josephs sister Sarah Boots m. Henry Bebee who is my ancestor. They did move to JOnes Co, Iowa . Henry's parents were Thomas Boots Sr. and Hannah Tree. b. in England. Hope this helps. Let me know if you need more info.
