Thank you for your message Mavis. Sorry I have no information other than what is online at Ancestry etc.Presume you have all that.I believe your family is likely the same one though. My interest is that Alfred was a witness at a family marriage & as the witnesses to the marriages have mostly (where traced) beeen related I am anxious to trace Alfred. I have so little information on some of these families. But Alfred is impossible to find. Not a trace on any census! Perhaps he was in the army or somesuch & only in London on rare visits. As the marriage (EDWARDS & GREEN) took place in 1839 he must have been born at least 1819 or so but no trace of that either!
Family members lived in St Pancras, Marylebone, Clerkenwell.
There is also a Benjamin born c1803 who has 2 chn with GILBERT as the 2nd name.
If this gives you any further ideas I would be delighted to know.
