From a Nov. 8, 1890 newspaper in Chickasaw Nation.
Gainesville, Texas, Oct. 23--Bill Boothby, a tough character of the Chickasaw country, was brought to Gainesville today by Officer Stewart, charged with holding up and robbing four farmers of several hundred dollars in the public road near Marietta. The farmers were returning home from market with money received for several bales of cotton, when they were held up and robbed by Boothby, a near neighbor to some of them.
