Hi Rhonda;
The information I have on Christopher Boothby is as follows: Born in England, March 2, 1825. His father was Thomas Boothby, a native of Lincolnshire, England. His mother was Mary Green.

Christopher Boothby's wife was Mary Garniss whom he married in Lincolnshire in 1845. They had twelve children:
Mary- married George Mundy in Cherokee Cty,Ia
Thomas- married Ellen Fatchett, lived in Cherokee Cty, Ia
William-married Hannah O'Neil, Cherokee Cty
George-married Elizabeth Waters, lived in Deep Creek Township, clinton cty, Ia
Fred-married Kate Disher, lived in Cherokee Cty
Lucy- married Wesley Bryant, Cherokee Cty
John-married Lydia Ward , Clinton Cty, ia
Robert and Martin -Clinton Cty
Deceased were Christopher, George and Franklin

Christopher Boothy came to America in 1854 and in June of that year located in Jackson County where he farmed on shares until he could buy his own land and eventually owned 640 acres.

Does this information connect with any family members that you know? If so, do you have any info on where in Lincolnshire the Boothbys came from? Phyllis Dearborn
