Dear Suzanne, I, too, have always been told that John W Booth was a direct Uncle (how many GGs I don't know. I have never been able to connect. In the late 1700s, Booth married a Seminole Indian in Fl, he would be my GGGgrfather, I thnik or maybe 4 Greats. Their son, James married Emily Bales in Baldwin Co, Ga. James and Emily's son, James Andrew Booth mar. Mary Jane Allen, they were married in Wilkinson Co, Ga. James & Mary Jane's son, Andrew Lewis was my Grdaddy. Grdaddy had a bro. named Louie, but I think Uncle Louie wasn't born until after 1900, Louie and Dewey were the 2 youngest. I do know the name Louie(s) was popular in the Booth family, so there may be a connection. It seems that our ancestors were big on carring out family names. There was, William, Jesse, Louie, Andrew called Ander often, Ed, James and John.
