Cora,
Yes, I did post the website about the Boosingers.Hope it answers some questions.Never finished with the website however.
I was surprised to read someone mentioning Ricketts with Boosinger.Your the first Rickett-Boosinger descendant I've emailed.I have answers to your questions. If I remember correctly, Simcox is German.I'll double check that for you.If you remember the story about Mrs. John Boosinger and the wolves, it was Nancy Simcox's mother or father that was supose to stay with Mrs. Boosinger, but for some reason never showed up.John Boosinger is credited with being the first settler in Brimfield. And he was the first person to live on land he owned in Brimfield, OH.But Nancy Simcox's parents were actually the first to live in the Brimfield Township. Her father didn't get the credit because he didn't own the land, he was squatting on the land.
Before I end, I want to mention your William Ricketts.I have a copy of a handwritten letter dated August 18, 1839 from William and Catherine Ricketts of Richmond, Missouri to George and Mary Boosinger, Catherine's parents.
Gary
