Lloyd Boone

I am confused with the census's. I am actually researching Newton E. Boone, from Berwick, Columbia County, PA. What I am coming up with is Newton's father is Elmer G. Boone. Now, where I am confused is I have a B. Lloyd Boone as Elmer's father in one 1900's census, but yet, in another 1900's census, I found another Lloyd E. Boone, with no children of the name Elmer. Yet, both Lloyd's birth dates are one year difference and their spouses names are similar. One is married to a Lillie and the other is married to a Lydia. And they to are within 5 - 6 years younger than their Lloyd's. Any help would be great. I am confused even typing this. LOL. I need to mention that BOTH Lloyd's had something to do with Centre Twp., Columbia County, PA & Nanticoke, Luzerne County, PA. STRANGE!!!!!
