It's by Jesse W Hatch. The man shoemaking families according to Jesse Hatch in Rochester were the Churchills Hitchcocks Shermans Phelps and Singers. The Singers made the machines. The Hitchcocks owned several shoe patents. The Sherman were from General Sherman of Atlanta GA. The Phelps were from the Oliver Phelps family married into the Shermans.
Got this from the Selznick Foundation housed at the George Eastman House which was right down the street from Winston Churchill's family.
These shoemaking families in Rochester were related to the Shoemaking families in Pittsburgh named Warner Selznick Mayer Myers McCloskey Capet and Gallatin. They operated out of the old Bakewell building in Pittsburgh.
