John Esten Cooke is buried with the Morgans and Randolphs of Gov Edmund Jenning Randolph and General Daniel Morgan. Then Gov Randolph's daughter Edmona is married into Senator John Cabell Brackinridges family. Senator Brackinridge was a close friend of Thomas Jefferson plus he owned the Myers Iron Works at Slate Creek. Gov Randolph was Thomas Jefferson's cousin.
It's like any research including Daniel Boones research. I notice people drop the name of Daniel Boone on this thread all the time.
Then Protestant Rev John Brackinridge played cards with Catholic Rev John McCloskey the President of Mount St Marys College North of Frederick MD. Rev John McCloskey was a friend of writer CSA Col John Esten Cooke and his boss CSA Gen Jeb Stuart. At least that is what the College Claims.
It seems Rev McCloskey had something to do with that Hanover Shoe Raid just before Gettysburg. The McCloskey's of Cardinal John McCloskey were shoemakers in Pittsburgh.
