Well it just so happens the Myers family was related to Bishop William McCloskey the Bishop of Louisville Kentucky. He leads in his own direction and much more interesting then the Boone family of Daniel Boone.

The issue here is this same Myers family related to Ned Myers who was the close friend of James Fenimore Cooper. You can read about Ned Myers in the book titled Ned Myers by James Fenimore Cooper.

Then why is James Fenimore Cooper doing any story based on any Boone family member? Drums Along the Mohawk or not.
