The connection I am trying to establish is the connection of the Myers family who owned the Myers Iron Works in Kentucky to Daniel Boone. The records are very clear on who owned the Iron Works after Jacob Myers. It was John Cockey Owings the nephew of Susan Cockey and shoe was married to Thomas Gist.

Thomas Gist was Christopher Gist's brother. Christopher Gist along with Dr Thomas Walker were the first Explorers in Kentucky.

The issue I have with the Boone Historical Society is on how Daniel Boone was completely unaware of the goings on in Kentucky in the late 1700's.

There are several court cases over the ownership of the Myers Iron Works of which one claim was from CSA General John C Brackenridge who ran against Abraham Lincoln. His grandson, also named John C Brackenridge, was a movie actor in Hollywood.

So it's really a trail of paperwork I am following including paperwork on actors Randolph Scott and Richard Boone.
