Ms. Hudgins;

Thank you for your response, was surprised to get any feedback as posted this so long ago (Oct 2005 !).

No, hit a brick wall with GW Boone, his farm is shown on a District 5 map of the area in 1878. He was married twice, his first wife was a Montgomery, a rich family in the area, who died early, 1868, and is buried in a cemetery that still exists, Montgomery Cemetery, located north of Hendersonville on Callender Lane. His daughter Tennessee, was my Mother’s grandmother, Tennessee married a William Wright in 1874. My mother spent her childhood summers on her farm.

Actually spent 10 days at the LDS Library in Salt Lake last June, could not find any connection to Daniel Boone, am trying to prove is what my Mother’s Mother told her, that she (and my sister and I) are distantly related to Daniel Boone, and I would like to prove that to her and our family.

Shortly after coming back for the LDS Library, my Father died + have been busy with his estate, am planning to come out to Sumner County this summer.

You sound like you live in the Sumner County area. Do you have any other clues about this log cabin, where was it located before it moved ? This could be the break I need to make the connection to Daniel Boone as that generation (GW Boone’s parents) would show that.

Thanks so much.
