After 8 years of research, I'm still looking for the parents of my gg grandfather, John T. BOON, (BOON in census; BOONE on tombstones and family spelling)or any information about his birth, migration, or death. He was b. c1820 somewhere in North Carolina. His occupation listed in census was bootmaker. The first record I have is his name on a tax list in Weakley Co., TN in 1842. He may have arrived in Weakley Co. prior to that date. In 1843, he married Trucey Jane NOBLIN in Weakley Co., TN. They appeared in the 1850 and 1860 Weakley Co., TN censuses with their children, Lucy Ann, Sarah Jane, Thomas Henry, William, James W., and John Andrew. Wife, Jane, was head of household in the 1870 Obion Co.TN Census. Obion borders Weakley. I'm assuming that John T. BOONE died between very early 1860's and 1870. His last child was born in 1862, and he didn't appear in the 1870 census. If anyone has any information on John T. BOONE or anything pertaining to his ancestry, county of birth, death date, etc., please let me know. Thanks very much. Brenda
