i ran across your note and this is what i have found recently.
i have in front of me a recent publication by robert morgan who i believe is some shirt-tail of the boones somewhere. "the story of daniel boone" has on page 9 a william boone, son of george and deborah howell boone being maried in 1761 to a sarah lincoln.
page 187 has mention of a william boone as the son of daniel and rebecca that was born about 1775 and died soon after.
no other william's are mentioned in the book.
