Larry, The Gardner connection would be on my Hardy family tree. A Hardy doesn't marry a Myers until 1920. I can't seem to get anywhere with my Myers family tree. William Maximill(i)an Myers was the son of the secretary of state in Bavaria Germany and stowed away on a boat before 1900 with his brothers as a child to come to America in protest of some political pre-Nazi flap over there, probably with Prussians. :-) The William Maximill(i)an Myers (Meyers, etc.) name is huge in Bavaria/Munich, but I still can't nail down the exact person who was my great grandfather. I've heard he came through Ellis Island and first settled in St. Louis. Then his son/my grandfather, William Claude Myers (b Aug. 10.1895. d. 10/20/52), ended up coming to Jasper Co., Mo., and marrying my grandmother, Helen Elizabeth Hardy of Webb City, Mo., in 1920. I think grandfather had a brother named Earl. Grandmother is the one who said we were related somehow to Daniel Boone and I think she said through the Hardy family. She died, so I can't get more info. I don't think we're related to those colonial Myers', unless they are connected to William Maximill(i)an Myers of Bavaria. There was more than one ancestor with some form of that name in Germany. Does any of this ring any bells?? Thanks so much for your help.
