James Mooney was a camp keeper for D. Boone in KY in 1769. There were three who kept camp for Daniel. After a season, the camp keepers returned to VA, thinking Daniel was a bit odd to go after Indians. But James reentered KY later with wife Anne Vallandingham and her brother/nephew Lewis Vallandingham. Lewis served under Daniel in Indian Wars after Rev. War.
Was James Mooney related to Daniel in some way?
