Robert - I don't believe I responded to your messages on Boone, Ingram, Parsons - my son had surgery in August and I was not doing any genealogy for a while. I do not have a lot of info on the Parsons - John House says that David Ballard Parsons was the s/o George, but in the Parsons info I have seen in Ripley, I do not find DBP. I think he was killed during the war in Spencer at a battle at the courthouse. Catherine Ingram Parsons m Dr. Henry Nelson after DBP's death and had at least 3 more children whom we cannot trace. But Melissa m #2 Alpheus Bogard and they went, first, to Clay Co., MO, and later to Kansas City, KS. Melissa had five children that I have found: William H. C., Otto D., Ferdinand DeSoto, Ada and Maud. Alpheus, Melissa, Ferdinand, Ada and Maud are all buried in the Paradise Cemetery, Clay Co., MO. Melissa died in KC and Alpheus married once more. As best we can figure out, Melissa's two children by Dexter were awarded to his brother, Dr. Joseph S. Boone. In the 1880 census of Belmont Co., OH, Dexter was listed as a medical student, age 21, and graduated 1883. He settled in Belmont Co. in 1886 and died there in 1921, buried in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. I believe he was childless. Lelia eventually was in Clay Co. with her mother and Alpheus and married Lafayette Hamon there. We found some of the Hamons down in Texas, but they had no knowledge of the past and were not interested in it. If you can add (or subtract) from any of this, I would like to hear from you by e-mail. johussey@bellsouth.net Notify Administrator about this message?
