I have found a 1880 census in Upper Laurel, Madison Co. NC showing Jasper N. Barns and wife Lueasy with daughter Lidda M, mother-in-law Elizabeth Boon and Eliza Boon aunt. Two houses down are William Barns with wife Elender and children William, Jame, Mary, Cornelia, Vandora They also show up in the 1900 census. In the same area the census also shows a William Boon with wife Darcus and a Wiley Boon and wife Mary. Can anyone link these families? I believe that Jasper's wife was Harriett Louise Boon and they must have called her Lueasy. They moved to Union Co., Ga around 1903.
