Hello, I posted this message 5925 to the forum but just in case you didn't see it, will send it to you. I have been trying for over 25 years to make contact with the descendants of the John BOON that was in Barren co KY 1800, Warren county KY 1810-1830.If you have names of children etc , I would be most appreciative in receiving them. John Boon of Warren co was made guardian of Keziah Smith , dau of David Smith ,d 1821. Her mother's middle given name stated Bivens but a family Bible I am told says Boon. Some of David Smiths children were made wards of a John Chapman. I am at standstill on these Boon/Boones , can find nothing new to even give me a fresh idea. Below is what I posted : Hello, I have NO proof of my John Boon/Boone but he was supposed to be the son of Jonathan Boone, older brother of the "Daniel". Family tales passed down is that he along with his father Jonathan and brother Joseph went to KY and settled in Barren co. There was a John Boon in Barren co on the 1800 census along with Jonathan and Joseph. They were millrights , as was my third grt. grandfather Richmond Pearson Boone , supposedly a son of the above John. Richmond Pearson Boon/Boone said he was born 1803 in a buckeye cabin in Barren co KY, to parents John Boon and Henrietta/Hannah Stewart of Scotland. The 1880 Kendall co. TX states that is correct. By 1810 John Boon or another John Boon had moved across the county line from Barren co into Warren co. In Sept. 1817 this John married Anna Grider Mitchell, widow of Charles Mitchell. In a KY biography on one of her daughters that married a Blewett, it states that Anna married a man named Boon and together they raised seventeen children. His , hers, theirs? In 26 yrs research, I am no closer than than this. It seems that if there are decendants from those families no one knows the answers! There is a researcher , Robert Haefner that has posted some information on Jonathan and John to this forum, check it out and see if anything might tie in with your John . You may write to me at ShanAmor03@aol.com if you wish. I always enjoy anything on John Boons, seems everyone wants to tie their Johns to Jonathan , altho I believe there were at least five born around the same time .
